You Make It Worth While
Being a mum it makes me pleased,
But there's so much time on my hands and knees.
I'm cleaning carpets, mopping floors,
Wiping hand prints from the doors.
I have to admit the frustration I'm feeling,
As I'm wiping your dinner from off of the ceiling.
The washing I've done, the ironing too,
And still I've made time to play with you.
Then it's up to me to tidy the toys,
Whilst you run around the room making lots of noise.
The years pass so quickly, you're up on stage,
Acting out in your school plays.
I look at you and give a smile,
I look at you and it's all worth while.
