When I Went To The Fairground
I went on this ride at the fairground
It spun me around and around
How great is this! Wind blowing through my hair
And me waving my arms up in the air.
By now I've gone all dizzy and the ride stops turning around
I climb off, fall down the steps, and land in a heap on the ground
I pick myself up, pull the grass out from my hair
I wobble a little; my head's still spinning everywhere
I take a look around and see the candy floss stall
This is my favourite; I want to buy it all
But I'd eaten too much candy; it made me feel quite sick
So I slung my candy on the floor, but then fell over the stick
Next I went to the 'hook-a-duck', for winning yourself a surprise
"Good luck" said the man, "you only get three tries!
I know I'm really good at this but the lights were dazzling my eyes
Three times I hit him on the head, he didn't give me a prize
I headed over to the arcades to go on the machines
It swallowed all my coins, which I thought was rather mean
So now it's time for me to leave, which is quite a shame
I had so much fun tonight, next year I'll do the same.
I've fallen down the steps and spent my money too
Ohhh, how I love the fairground. 'Oh - I Really Do'.
